Question 2006 TL Body Side Molding Repair Question

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum...forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere. I tried searching but could find nothing.

Anyhow, the body side molding on my 2006 TL is starting to come away from the door. The first 4-5" no longer adhere to the door.

Is this something I can fix myself? If so, how? I tried calling the dealer but they want me to bring it in. I thought I would check with the experts here before taking it in.

Any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks All.

If you're speaking of the strip that is optional and protects the door, remove, clean area, remove old tape, then use 3M double coated tape for automotive application. If it is the strip that is coming off, you can remove them all and no more problems.
