2005 TL 5AT transmission has died at 83,000 miles

My transmission is dead, slips, not shifting, not engaging in gears, etc. I have a 2005 TL 5AT with 83,000 miles. I do not drive it like I stole it, because after all it's not a sports car. Luckily I purchased my car as a CPO which included a 7yr/100,000mi powertrain warranty. That totally saved my ass as my service advisor said we will replace your transmission under warranty. My car is currently at the shop being serviced, but for anyone with in relative experience, what should I expect/look for when I get my car back? Anything I should check ask?

useful or useless info: dealer Goodson Acura Irving, Texas
Loaner car: 2010 TL w/tech package
Service so far: good

Thanks in advance

A very knowledgeable member here (i hate cars) has said that one of the main reasons these transmissions fail is because of the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches. They begin to slow down over time and cause excessive slipping which results in a failure.

The other problem is that it seems once the transmission is replaced by the dealer, they re-use all the old switches which results in another failure down the road.

Ask the dealer if they are replacing all the switches and sensors. If they say no then ask if they will and express your concern. If they still say no then buy them yourself and install them.

Theres a huge thread here titled "a very interesting conversation with my transmission builder" by I hate cars. I would definetely read it
