hey guys, im new here but i work for jaguar/landrover in the corporate section. i own an 05 tl with 28k miles on it and love the car. But just some info for everyone, if the dealer asks you if use armor all SAY NO !! there are chemicals in armor all that eat away at the materials your car is made from. I have gave customers an answer of "NO" when they ask for compensation for a dash based on that answer...sucks i know but the owners manual says not to use it.....hope this is useful

Are you talking about the Jags or TLs? That's interesting that others could possibly be having the same problems from Armor All. I've used it but luckily not more than 5 times since I bought the car new because I don't like the dash real shiny.

My question is, didn't they reformulate the Armor All so that it's now safe? I'm curious now. I use it on my door seals twice a year to stop them from squeaking. I hope it doesn't hurt those too.

i was talking about jags and land rovers, but a dash board is a dashboard to a certain extent. once you use armor all on leather or rubber you HAVE to keep using it or the materials will crack and flake. i dont use it on anything i own.

of course to each there own but if a manufacturer will not replace a dashboard after a customer drops between 90-120k on a vehicle they must have done some testing

Sorry for the late reply. I don't come on here much lol but from what I see, seems like the new dash they put on my car is the one that is on the 07-08 TLs. But yeah I agree that its ridiculous how Acura didn't cover it 100%. I've complained to Corporate twice and the 2nd time is when they decided to fix it. When my dash started cracking more and more, I got really concern because it was right above my air bag. Theres no telling what would happen. ;/
