2004 TL - Glovebox Rattle

Hello all,

Just signed up on this site - lots of great info from a lot of folks....

I have a 2004 TL (early one - purchased in Dec. 2003). I've had several interior rattles fixed by the dealer (Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, VA - seems like a good service shop so far), but I still have this problem with my glove box rattling while driving, and it's absolutely driving me psycho, even if I turn up the radio. Not a loud, clunky rattle, but a softer, sort of "plastic-on-plastic" rattle....

The dealer has supposedly "tightened" something in the glovebox area, but it seems to go back to rattling after about a week. If I open the glove box while I'm driving, the sound goes away....close it back, and the sound is there again.

I intend to take the car back to the dealer to find another solution. Sometimes, the glovebox looks like it might be slightly warped or crooked when the box is closed....another problem?

Has anyone else had this sort of rattle and been able to fix it or make it go away?

For the record, I've already replaced the tires at 15 K miles - the EL-42's were aboslutely horrible at low speeds on cold mornings, and shook all over the place at highway speeds. I have BF Goodrich tires now - big improvement from before....

My apologies if this question has been answered before (any links to the thread?).....

Thanks....

I used two felt pads - the kind used on the bottom of chairs to keep it from scratching a wood floor. They take up the slack and keep the door from moving.

No TSB?

Went to Acura today to have the squeeky glove box fixed (for the 3rd time) and told them that there is a supposed TSB on it and to look it up and do it...

They claim that there is no such thing on the glove box and are supposedly ordering me new clips for the 3rd time...

A little help here? anyone know the TSB # ? or should i just print out the fix that u guys wrote out on here and give it to them?
