I installed a remote start and the display where the temp/radio/and time is went blank. When I turn on the lights then turn them off the display flashes for a few milisecs then goes blank again. Anyone knows what the problem might be?

 

Last Friday I was driving listening to XM and my radio went off. I turned it back on and nothing. Then I hit FM and it worked, but no display XM still does not work, but FM/AM, phone, CD all still works. This is a non Navi 04 and the A/C display still works. What caught my attention is I have an aftermarket remote start as well. It was installed in 2005 with no problems at all. I have checked all the fuses and cannot find the problem. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I was no help yura290, I just have a similar issue.

 

Is that the only thing that has failed?
What brand/model of RS?
Did you do the install?
Was that console removed during the RS install? If so, it's possible that the connectors came loose.

Also could be a fuse (#7 or #21 would be my guess).
