2004 tl battery drain

Hey guys, I have a 2004 to auto v6, the battery sometimes drains after a few days, and sometimes it doesn't. I have heard of HFL problems, but I don't know if I have it? I have a button on the dash that has a phone on it, but its never worked. Is that HFL? Also, every once in awhile, a headlight won't work, I've seen this on the internet, but nobody posted a solution. Everything else works fine, any suggestions?

yes, the Hands Free Link...or the bluetooth telephone link likes to eat the battery.
you'll need to disconnect the HFL mic which is ABOVE you. that should take care of the battery drain.

also, the headlight..you will need to trouble shoot it...by moving the bulb to the other side...if problem follows, it's the bulb

Yup, the hands free link is what caused my battery to die, if I let the car sit over 3 days it wouldn't start. I disconnected the hfl and now there is no more drain. Here's a vid on how to disconnect it:

First "mod" I did to my car was removing the HFL. My battery died on Day 10 of owning the car. Didn't check to see if it was the HFL, but I removed it and haven't had issues with the battery since.

do you have to remove the HFL module only or the mic as well? There seems to be a mic next to the HFL with a separate black wire running to it.

in the owners manual/flip book thing, it points to the mic which is on the interior lights component with SLOTTED opening. The secondary component (removal of four 8mm bolts) houses the HFL module and there's another thing which a black wire runs to and on the underside has HOLES for an opening for something. Are both of these mics? Maybe one is the ANC
