2 Engine Mounts Replaced - Clunk sound persists - 05 TL
Timing Belt Service recently completed - Timing Belt side Engine Mount was broken and Replaced.
Clunking Persisted while driving so Front Engine Mount also replaced - (and was also bad).
Clunking still persists while driving on uneven pavement.
Any advice or tips? I hear the rear engine mount is the hardest to get to... and I've already spent nearly a $1000 doing both mounts and timing belts, Any advice would be appreciated.

It's hard to tell without hearing it but the rear mount would be worth checking. Especially with the other 2 you changed so far being bad. I'd check the trans mounts as well, assuming they all have 105k+ on them. Other than that it could other things, like your suspension for example. What area does the noise/clunking seem to come from? Any certain speed? Turning or driving straight?

I get a sense that it may be coming from the left or maybe even the rear left side? It's hard to tell. It happens at slow speeds and highway. It only happens if there are ripples in the pavement, it will make pop/clunk sounds. Not really making the sounds during turns at all. Not sure what to make of this.
My mechanic (on/off reliable) says the trans mount and the rear mount are very hard to get to. Is this true and will it cost $$$?

Ok hopefully it is just the mounts then. The rear mount is the only 1 I know that is somewhat a pain to change. I haven't changed mine yet (it's around $110 just for the mount). But the trans mounts (3 of them) were pretty easy from what I've seen. I have a 6MT, I don't know if your is an auto or not but if it is they are a little different. The lower 2 mounts are basically lined up 1 towards the fron the of the trans, 1 towards the back of it. You can see the bolt holes in the subframe right under the trans. For those I'd say bout 20 minutes to change (including putting tools away). Put the car on jack stands, support the engine with a block of wood on the jack, take the old one out, put the new one in, lower jack, remove jack stands, done. Lower Auto Trans Mounts part #15 & 16 in the link below.
There is an upper trans mount as well, I haven't touched it yet though so i can't speak much to it. And not much talk about it on here either so I'm thinking it doesn't get changed much. It's part #17 in the link below.
For the rear mount there is some other post about it and how to already on here but it would take a lil longer that the trans mounts. Just less room to work with and get it out of there. Part #8 in the link below.

Also if your mechanic is on/off reliable I prolly wouldn't go back to him. I'd find someone else or do it myself, depending what it was. Just my

thanks man, I think I'll just put up with the noise for now. because God! This car has developed another huge problem I'll have to start a new thread for ; ;
The car won't start, chokes, and has all these electrical shorting noises coming from the bay. I am so fucked, already spent $1000 on this car from money I don't have
