Yes, get the Denso (OE, look for "Japan" next to "Denso"), not the less expensive Chinese-made knock-offs (Dorman, Std Motor, Wells, etc.). Installed mine in May 2017 and haven't had any probs since.

US$126.00 on Amazon
Amazon Amazon

Or ~$86 (for refurbished?) on eBay
https://www.ebay.com/itm/197000314847

I'd go with the first one on Amazon, just to be safe.

Bought a $17 replacement from Amazon
Amazon Amazon
that and installed it yesterday. When it arrived it looked almost identical to the first one, except for having the Acura part number 36162-RDV-J01 stenciled on it. Will see how long this one lasts. Hopefully it doesn't fail for a while so I can avoid spending $186 for the part from Acura.

Been putting this off for a decade now Took my old one off again for cleaning to see if that would help but still getting intermittent (and more often now that it is warmer/summer) Prices for the OEM part from Acura direclty seem to have jumped up to 190 bucks..https://www.acurapartswarehouse.com/...oid_valve.html

Interestingly enough, found a reddit post that seems to claim the Odyssey's part number seems to work without issues: https://www.reddit.com/r/Acura/comme...r_36162rdvj01/

I'm inclined to give it a shot at half the price.. Will reach out to my honda parts guy and report back shortly..

I'd 'roll the dice' on that Odyssey 36162-RJA-A01 all day.
Even though the 'root' RJA is different than your 3G TL 36162-RDV-J01, it' compatible with the V6 the Odyssey is running.

Decoding Honda and Acura part numbers - Ultra Racing USA, LLC - Chassis Tuning Specialist Since 2001
"A" means that the part is for the North American market. Japan spec parts would carry a "J".

^^^ I used GUMOUT Carb/Choke & parts cleaner. I sprayed it in both holes and shook it. Did you do something similar like that? That was the only way I could think to clean it.
