This was from another post on another car forum:

"In case anyone ever has this same problem, I discovered the answer last night while installing new rotors and pads on the rear.

The symptom was one pad had ground down to metal, while the other 3 pads in the rear all had about 5-6mm of pad left.

The problem turned out to be that the nut on the lower part of the caliper carrier had rusted frozen, and that had caused the caliper to be misaligned on the rotor. I discovered this after putting a new rotor and pads on and when I tightened down the slider pins, the bottom side of the caliper grabbed onto the rotor, preventing it from moving freely.

I was able to free up the nut using PB Blaster and a lot of elbow grease, but even with that loosened up a bit, the rotor doesn't move freely like the other side does. So, I've got a new carrier on the way from ECS.
"

I'm not saying that this is the answer to your question, but it could be a possibility.

Are the slides moving freely?

It's probably seized slides or the caliper piston.

Honestly, I was just looking from the outside of the rim when I parked the car. The reason why is because I just started hearing today when I back up the car or making turn I can hear the squeal. I was like WTH! Yup...left rear I think is metal to metal but not the right rear. tsktsktsk...

I really appreciate your input. I think you may be right on!

I think it's safe to get a brake hardware along with a pair of brake pads tomorrow.

Changed mine yesterday ('07 TL-S) and the wear was slightly uneven, but not like what you seem to be having.

Were you having trouble getting the pin out of the caliper?

No, not at all. Everything came apart easy-peasy.

I really just posted to let you know that a little uneven-ness might not be unusual. Although yours sounds more than 'a little' uneven.

I had the exact same issue on my 07 tls a fewmonths back. The caliper was seized and its the first time an acura dealer saw a rear caliper seized for a tl type s. They replaced the caliper under warranty but i had to supply or use their pads which I paid for. Even though 3 of the pads were easily 75% life left and the one was shot

You may also want to check to see if the pad is in backwards. It happens, but if so you'd hear a scrapping sound when driving. It will get faster as you go faster and slower as you slow down.
