'08 Type S Bank 1 Sensor 1
Hi All,
New to this site. Was hoping someone can help me out.
>Engine light came on.
>OBD Reader indicated Bank 1 sensor 1 02 sensor.
>Replaced the sensor, turned off the light.
>Light turned back on after 20 minutes, gave me the same reading, even though the sensor was replaced with a brand new one.
What are your thoughts?

p0134 - Definitely upstream. I don't think its the cat. I replaced the sensor with a new bosch 15401. Do you think installing a non-factory might have something to do with it?

stick with OEM, the Honda ECU is extremely finicky from what I've seen.

Just buy new NTK/NGK o2 then. Our car do not play well with Bosch.
But if you are interested I can sell you mine for cheap for both of them. You don't want to spend 150 bucks and then it turns out to be something else.
What are the CEL codes if any?

*update*
I have now replaced the sensor with a proper NTK one. The light went off for a couple days and came back. I am still getting the same p0134 reading "no activity". Obviously it is not the sensor. The car feels fine and has been running a lot more smoother and more responsive since I changed the sensor.
I am starting to wonder if maybe the reader I am using is not picking up on something deeper down. Prior to this, I was receiving a warning display advising me to tighten my gas cap, which would then go away after 5 minutes and come back after a few days. This has since stopped, but followed up by the check engine light now. Perhaps it is an emissions issue?
Any suggestions out there?

There's a short somewhere in the harness. Follow the wires.

Pikachu might have chewed up some wires. It happened to my friend. Start tracing the wiring and see if there is any heat damage or if it looked like something chewed on it.

P420 code Bank 1 2007
Hello, i have a 2007 Acura TL 190k miles. I recently changed both oxygen sensors and a few weeks later my check engine light came on. Checked the code and was told I need a new Catalytic converter. The car rides fine and no stuttering or loss of acceleration. I got a second opinion from a more experienced mechanic and he suggested installing better ‘more expensive’ sensors. I bought my sensors from Amazon. Has anyone else had P420 code? I went for inspection after erasing the codes but failed. I was told to drive the car a bit and come back but now the CEL is on again. I plan to change the sensors again but any other advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanx

Same situation. I've changed all may sensors due to the code. I used NGK from Rock Auto. The cell disappeared but suddenly after about 1 month it came on again.
I noticed it happens only in specific circumstances - when it's humid and only on cold engine and when running at about 2 k rpms. However it doesn't come on in even in those circumstances when I rev it to 4-5 k for a while. I suppose revving speeds up the moisture evaporation from somewhere around the sensor.
