08 tl type s p146c

Just had this pop up, any experiences with it? Apparently something with a field pump, no running issues at the moment.

Do you mean P0146? If so, your ECU is not detecting enough activity on your O2 sensor. Usually that can mean one of two, or both things: The O2 sensor is damaged, or the connector/harness is damaged from heat or even melted. Either way, in both cased, there isn't a connection and the ECU will illuminate this DTC. Its best to go under your vehicle and inspect your oxygen sensors. Follow the wiring and check the connectors that they're not damaged.

The cel went off then came back on, the code popped up after adding a field system cleaner on a relatively high mileage car. I used a couple of different chemicals for cleaning intake, injectors, etc and I was thinking perhaps carbon has fouled an 02 sensor? I'm going to go under and inspect all my sensors hopefully tomorrow. I noticed today that if I immediately turn on the heat after I start the car it will run rough until its warmed up which is wierd but I believe unrelated.

Turned out the p146c manufacturer code was actually a p145c. I had my wife initially read the codes and there was a bit of a mixup. BUT that code has now shown with a p0496 and the end result is that it's the evolution of the canister purge control solenoid (check gas cap) if it goes ignored. I guess I'm ordering a new 1 soon, I enjoy having a nice lightfree dashboard. I'm going to remove the old one and attempt to clean and lube any moving parts on it before I go and throw my amoco card at acura parts. I will report back if the part can be diy refurbed
