I had a problem a few months back with my factory alarm randomly going off. I replaced the battery and had no problem at all afterwards. I noticed recently when I would take a turn hard the door ajar light would flash. I ordered a door sensor and got it shipped but didn't put it in right away. Last night at 2am my alarm decided to go off. I shut it off and went back to sleep, again at 4am it goes off. I disabled the battery and went back to bed. This morning I decided to replace the door sensor thinking that would solve the issue. An hour after the install the alarm goes off again. I have the battery disconnected for now. All the doors lock. the car beeps when I push the button twice. That leads me to believe the sensors on the doors, trunk, and hood are good (obviously the battery was connected when I tested this). Sometimes after the alarm would go off I would hit the unlock button on the key and the daytime running lights would stay on and all my key remotes wouldn't respond. I dont really have the funds right now to bring it to a shop. Is there and easy way to disable the alarm other than having to pop the hood and disconnect the battery or anyone know a permanent fix to this where I could avoid a shop. The car did struggle to start in cold temps the other day but it was just a one time thing so far. Could it be an alternator or maybe I bought a bad battery?

 

If you don't lock the car, the alarm won't arm. Obviously this would only work while
parked in your garage.
There are eight trigger points for the alarm:

1 each for the four doors
1 for the trunk
1 for the hood
1 for the radio
1 for the ignition
