07 TL Type S Steering Wheel noise?

I was doing a little steering wheel drumming in my 07 TL Type S the other day and noticed that when the steering wheel is in neutral positions (wheels straight ahead) and you tap on the top of it with 2 fingers, I hear a spring vibration like sound come from it.

I did the same for my 05 TL and didn't hear this sound.

I took it to the dealer and he said its normal b/c of all the extra buttons and paddles shifters on the Type S.

Can fellow Type S owners confirm? thanks.

Lots of steering wheel rattles. Search and you should turn up quite few threads.

Some are from the area where the horn and airbag plug into their wire harnesses - its a cover on the underside of the steering wheel. Others come from the steering column or under the Airbag.

The one that sounds like it comes from the steering column/Airbag is a loud annoying buzz that's nearly continuous at highway speed - better on a smooth surface, but any roughness and it's annoying a hell.

I honestly only hear it when I tap my fingers on the wheel, though I rarely drive on bumpy roads and most of the time my music is on. I will pay closer attention though. thanks.,
