'07 TL Serpentine Belt Question

I took my TL to the dealership because of a noise coming from the the engine. This makes the car sound like it's a diesel, it's really loud compared to my girlfriend's TL. At the dealer they told me that the serpentine belt and tensioner have to be replaced, they commented that thetensioner was loose and that's what's causing the noise. I'd have them do it just to have ease in my mind but they want $415 for parts and labor! Is this a reasonable price?? Any suggestions fixing this with non dealer prices? Additional info: 88k miles, everything else with the car checks out, need to change the steering fluid and brakes soon.
Thank you in advance!

-Alex

It depends when you define as reasonable.. Are you willing to do it yourself? Check online for parts pricing and then find local shops and ask for a quote. I don't think a belt and a tensioner should be too hard to do yourself or at a mom and pop shop.

If you're asking if a dealership's prices are reasonable.. chances are they're not. They call them stealerships for a reason

$25 belt, $70 tensioner, you decide if you think it's worth it.
