07 TL-S Leather

have an appointment with the dealer on Thurs for them to look at my driver's seat. it started with just black die from my belt transferring to the seat, now it's the taupe seat rubbing off. i've reviewed some past posts and it seems some people have had success with the dealer replacing the seat cover, and some with no success.

any thoughts on how i should deal with the dealer? the car is a few weeks short of 1 yr and i have just over 13k miles. i know they'll probably say "wear and tear" but if it's this bad after 1 yr how bad will it be after 4-5?

did you clean it? Condition it? the leather on 07+ acuras will absorb anything really, so the dye is being absorbed, a simple cleaning with leather cleaner should fix it up, leather conditioner should satisfy the hunger of the leather.

no, at first my belt's dye was transfering to the seat, now seat is rubbing off. no more taupe seat color. not a conditioning thing either, do that every couple weeks with Lexol.

new seat for me

service mngr looked all of about 20sec before he told the tech "we need to order a new taupe seatback".

now i need to find a way to prevent this from happening again. maybe back to Zaino leather stuff since Lexol didn't perform.

Any recommendations on the cleaner and conditioner? I have an '07 TLS and the seats remain clean. I'd like to keep it that way.
