'07 TL-S doesn't start
So to start my general knowledge about cars is close to nothing. This morning I started the car just fine with no problems at all. Drove it about a mile down the road to the store. When I left the store the car wouldn't start, doesn't do anything past being in accessory with the key in the ignition. Doesn't even try to turnover. Battery is fine I would imagine...replaced battery with a Optima yellow top about 6 months ago. Headlights and dash lights are as bright as possible but just doesn't even attempt to start.
What do you think the problem is...starter, alternator???
Gonna look at the fuses here in a second (not sure if that could be an issue??)
Any and all help is much appreciated!!
Thanks in advance

As mentioned check for loose battery terminals. If you have an automatic, try starting in neutral and/or make sure it is fully in Park. Does the starter make a clicking sound or do you get nothing at all?

May be your starter. A couple of taps on the starter itself may be a short term remedy. Typically when the battery is too weak to start the car the starter will click. You are only hearing one click so either your battery is very week or it could be your alternator.
If the alternator is going, it's not properly recharging your battery. You mentioned a short mile trip to the store. If these trips are part of your regular routine - it doesn't give time for the battery to get recharged from the alternator. Again assuming your alternator is working properly.
PS - Congrats of the 6 SP Type S!!!

Yeah I think I have a bad starter, guess I'll find out tomorrow. Thank you for the help, I do appreciate it! Sunday is a bad day to have car problems being that nobody is open.
I took me forever to find the 6sp TL-S, very happy I was patient enough to stumble into one

Loose connection
Battery is done
Starter
If you hear clicking - its the battery
If nothing at all - starter motor
Check for loose connections/get a jump if the battery is at fault....
+1 for Tapping on the starter motor with a little wrench or a break bar....again, you are not going for a war against it....light tapping will do
Once the car starts up, head to Advance Auto Parts for a free electrical assessment

Its the starter...I just had the same thing happen to me yesterday with my girls TL...Im from CT and took the drive to PA(3 hour drive) to visit my grandmother...I got there and then took a ride to walmart with my aunt. Came back out and tried to start the car and nothing. Wouldn't even make a sound. Battery is brand new and all lights and radio work fine. Had to call a tow truck to tow it back to my grandmothers house. After the tow guy got the car off the bed, I put it in first gear and popped the clutch going down the hill and the car started...But the tow guy recommended that I don't drive the car back home since it was a 3 hour drive back just in case it would breakdown on me on the highway. So I called my dad and he came and picked me up. So now I have to buy a starter(which is about $220 from the dealer) and head back to PA on Thursday night to change it out...Im doing it myself. Not to hard since I already replaced mine on my TL...Goodluck...
