'07 TL-S 6MT Release Bearing Issue

I did a quick search but I haven't discovered anything relevant. My clutch goes "hard" sometimes when shifting rapidly, and I have to take my foot off, then depress the clutch a second time to get it to work. This never happens in normal driving.

I'm almost certain it's the release bearing. If so, I have a bad feeling I'm going to have to open up the transmission housing to get to it, and I don't have a lift or the right tools, so I may have to pay some big money.

Anyone else have this issue or heard of it?

EDIT: The car has 98k miles on it (I converted since the majority of the board are Americans, haha).

What do you mean? As in pedal not going down to the floor?

When was the last time you changed the clutch fluid?

More like it gets stuck at 3/4 travel, and I can't push it in anymore, but I can let it out, and it doesn't bounce back normally when I do that. I have to push it partway back in and let it out twice in a row for it to behave normally again.

Clutch fluid was changed last year in hopes of remedying the issue (it didn't fix it). The more time passes, the more often it seems to happen.

Don't know...master cylinder or slave cylinder maybe? You used the correct fluid right? Nothing leaking? Stock clutch? Mileage?

Nothing's leaking, I triple checked. It's the stock clutch at 90500 miles.
