'07 TL Problems
Hey everyone!
Im new to this forum but not new to the car world. My wife traded in her 05 STI for a 07 TL two years ago and we love this car. Has not given us one problem up until a few weeks ago.
The issue at hand was her car wasn't starting. It would just either click or not do anything at all. When this would happen i would have to enter the radio security code and sometime the navigation code. The first few times this happened she would just try a few times and it then would start like there was no issue.
One time she couldltn get it for over 5 minutes, pops the hood to check the terminals and the car started right up. The other day it happened again so all she did was pull the hood pop and then it was able to start.
I was thinking it was a loose terminal but that wasnt the issue. Im kinda at a loss, ive never encountered anything like this before with my subarus or mitsubishis. Please help.

Has to be a bad connection from the battery somewhere if it is not just the starter, but the rest of the electronics in the car. You are losing power when under load. Mine was doing this but it was just a bad connection at the battery terminal since it was corroded badly.
If you say the terminals are tight and clean, I would start checking where the cables go to next from the battery. I will bet one of those cables has an issue on the other end.

Check all your grounds..Something is off.. starter to ground, battery to ground, one of those must be loose or corroded

Corrosion in the battery cable will do this as well. Even if your terminals are clean, the cables could have corrosion and not supplying enough power to turn the engine over. Happened to me a few months ago.
