'07 TL Chirp sound on cold morning starts

Hey guys, i know that this has been out there before, but just wanted to say that I just got my TL fixed for the cold start chirp sound TSB 10 035.

Drive belts rubbing on ac/compressor mounting due to bad mounting bolts.

Work done compliments of Acura and Crest Acura Dealer (Syracuse NY) even though my warranty just expired.

I have to say that Crest Acura has provided the best service to me that I have ever experienced with a car dealer. Way better than BMW (my previous car).

I'll know tomorrow morning if the fix worked for sure.

Update: 25 degree F this morning when I started the car, no more noise. I think this has been cured.

Don't know for sure, but guessing only about an hour, maybe hour and half.

Tech said that when he pulled up the service bulletin, there was an attached wave file from Acura that played the chirping sound. It matched my car exactly.

Their original qoute was $287 all in for the fix. But like I said, they were able to get Acura to "good will" the fix for me because my records show that they had tried to identify the problem a couple of times in the past when my new veh warranty was still good.

I had that exact problem with my 07 Acura TL and the dealer indeed charged me 287. They never made mention of the the TSB and said that it wasn't covered under my Acura Care warranty. I just called those shady bastards up and gave them the TSB# you provided, the service advisor said he's gonna be back to me. It's situations like this that makes me love Acurazine... Thx allin!!!

I had a noise on cold starts and had the tensioner replaced for the acc belt. Mechanic wasn't satisfied so we decided to pull the front cover off. They found bad timming chain tensioner (leaking), water pump starting to leak, etc. They replaced all (timming, tensioner, water pump, etc.) and Honda picked up the bill - $1800.00

PS - I'm at 71K and I had the TSB done at 30K
