I drove off in the morning from home for 3 miles ..the car shuddered s if engine was about to stop when i slowed down to stop and drop off my daughter.....i turned off engine and restarted..then while starting the car shuddered again and wasn't accelerating smoothly from stop...kind of jumped when I pushed the accelerator harder..then at every traffic light it shuddered as i idled and eventualy the Check engine light came up...even after 8 hours of resting the car... the problem persisted in the evening drive back home...

However the next day morning it came back to normal...no CEL ..no shuddering..no acceleration jumps....I am stumped...


please help any thoughts? can i take this to dealer and would he be able to see the history and figure why the check engine light went off???it been about 4 days since this happened..

Yes the code should be stored, you can drop by an Autozone (I hear they read codes for free) and find out what it is/was and do some research online.

If it's something you cant handle or dont have time to take care of take to a local mechanic or acura stealership.
