So I've been hearing a slight rattle sound while the car is at idle and I didn't really pay any major attention because it was so slight. It seemed to fade in and out as the car idle's. No real big deal. Yesterday I notice my car pausing in between gear shifts while it seems to give a slight push into the next gear. I have an 07 with 15,000 miles and this car has had the royal treatment. I'm praying this isn't early signs of a tranny issue. Also when I stand outside of the car I can hear a rattle sound that fades in and out. The sound comes from the passenger side of the car close to the front wheel well. I have an appointment for the dealer tomorrow morning so I'm hoping this isn't going the wrong route. I went from German product to Japanese for a reason...I hope I'm not facing another similar problem of the good ole transmission. If anyone has any expert advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

Its wierd because I get a 08 TL loaner car that only has 2500k miles and sure enough. That little knocking sound is there. Also I feel that slight hesitation between gears 3-4. I'm not liking the outcome on this.

check the owner manual regarding shift points and using D4 in traffic- it may be hunting for the gear- deciding if it wants to change- or it could be something sinister
Rattles- who knows- rocks get in heat shields all the time
Japanese car- are you aware the gen3 was designed in Los Angeles California, and assembled in Ohio I believe- somewhere around them parts, in a hasty manner by
American workers.

same thing with my car, i was thinking the rattle is due to the AEM CAI because the vibration mount broke, and the same thing happens with the gears...Make sure you post up if they figure out the problem.

Oh I will buddy. I dropped my car off this morning and didn't hear a peep back from them on updates. In the meantime I guess I just rack up mileage on the 08 lmao...this will get old as I'll want my baby back. I hate seeing these stupid dealer stickers on this car. I feel like a wannabee..lol
