i tried installing a pair of 07 smoked rear side marker lens on my 04 and the plugs were different. i looked at other posts of people installing them and i didn't see anything about different plugs. any1 know anything about this?

 

they will fit, even though it looks a little different, it fits fine.

 

Got me scared for a second because I have a set of rear Type S sidemarkers ready to be iinstalled.

 

use a little force, they'll fit.

 

did it work for you? any problems? i picked up my pair of smoked side markers from the 07 Type-S from an Acura dealership; I asked them to put them on my 06 and the head service tech told me the plugs were different and not compatible?? i ended up returning them. any help would be nice....

I put the type-s rear side markers on my '05 tl non-type-s about 3 weeks ago. the plugs are slighty different but the pin layout is the same, use a little force and the male end will go in. just keep the pins/holes lined up

edit: btw they look really sharp too

i ended up finding an Acura dealership on Ebay that sells the Type -S rear smoke markers made to fit the 04-08 TL non Type-S; they include an updated connector, $105 for the set
