Hi, I've been having problems with my AC system, I took it to a mechanic to get fixed and so far he has put a new compressor in 3 times and a new condenser the last time and it keep going out. The 1st time it started making a hissing noise and then it released all the freon. Does anyone know why this may be happening, I'm very frustrated.

 

If the system was filled with debris from a previous compressor internal failure, it will destroy subsequent
compressors unless the system is thoroughly cleaned, which is very difficult to accomplish. Most will
recommend complete replacement firewall forward and some will install filters in the system, but they may
clog if too much debris is remaining. Try and check the inside of the system with a Q tip to see if any
evidence of contamination.
