06' TL Issue?

I took the plunge and got a 06' TL on Monday.

Eventhough I love the car, I have unfortunately already began to experience some of the cars gremlins - rattle in the rear deck while listening to music, and a bubble in the paint.

However this post is in regards to a noise I heard last night. While entering my driveway at a sharp angle (to prevent scraping on the curb) I heard a loud "twang". It sounded like a piece of metal flexed or snapped.

I haven't had a chance to take it back out today (due to the weather) to try and reproduce the sound.

Any ideas what it could be (with such limited info)?

It's probably the plastic air dam, which is very low to the ground. This should not be removed because the TL engine breathes from the bottom and the air dam directs air to the engine.
Probably everyone who has ever entered a driveway with either a dip or an incline has scraped this plastic piece.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think that is the issue in this case.

My front end was already in the driveway. It occured when the back tires became uneven (eg. one tire up the curb, the other on the street).

I should have probably clarified.

Thanks.

Also it was most definitely a metal sound.

Sounds like a spring that might have moved when one of the wheels was near full extension? I would guess that it is related to the rear suspension.

I have an 06 and turn into an inclined driveway and I have never heard what you are describing.

I guess this is not much help...

I have a hard turn incline driveway, and occationally hear this, looking under the car it appears that their is a cover below the oilpan that is hitting concrete.
