I have an 06 TL with the auto transmission. The original transmission failed at 38K miles and was replaced by my dealer (they said this is "very rare"). Now at 41K miles I am feeling a vibration from the engine between 1500 and 2500 RPM. I read some of the threads on similar problems. I have a new transmission, new tires and new brakes. I have no idea what could cause this? Could the problem be with the engine itself or maybe an engin mount?

they should have replaced the engine mounts when the tranny was out so they would only charge you for the part. now they are gunna double charge you for labor.

make sure u talk to them about that ... because only 3k after the tranny failure and mounts are gone they should have alerted u at the time

 

My 06 has 70k on it and I am having all three mounts replaced next week. The dealer is telling me only the front one is bad, but I am going to have all three replaced. The tranny was replaced (previous owner) at 40k as well.

 

Thanks for the replys. They said they just needed to make some adjustments to the placement of the engine, but that the mounts are fine. I guess I should have had the mounts replaced because while it is a little better I still fell a little vibration.
