Hey everyone, lurked for awhile on the boards but now need some of your expert opinions.

So today I was at a stop light and on green I accelerated but then the car rumbled a little and it sounded like gears grinding from the engine (my engine knowledge is limited)

I thought I possible may have driven over something, but then I was going up a hill and making a right turn the same thing happened. I made a loop to try to the same spot and it happened again.

Now I'm in SoCal and today is the first day it's rained in forever so I'm not sure if it's related to tire slippage or anything.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Did some additional searching on the web, but could this potentially be a TCS (Traction Control) issue? And if so, is there a risk of damage?

 

how far was the wheel turned? If all the way, something might be rubbing. Check your tires for any cuts in the front and as well the fender to see if there is anything bent. Also check out the surface of the brake caliper to see if it has hit the rim and caused scratches.
