Hi all,

I got an 06 TL 6 speed manual about 6 months ago and it was the first manual transmission car that I ever got. I noticed something that comes up occassionally that kinda concerns me.

Basically what happens is that sometimes when I come to a complete stop and try and put the shifter into first gear to start moving, I notice that the shifter will sometimes get stuck halfway and won't go up to first. Being that I'm trying to move and cars are frantically honking at me to get going behind me, I put the shifter back to neutral and try again. It'll happen about 2 to 3 times until I can finally shift into first gear successfully.

Because I don't know too much about how manuals work, I was wondering what all the manual transmission veterans out there thought about this. Is this a known issue? I'm also wondering if I should take my car to the local Acura dealer and ask them about it or if it's normal amongst all manual transmission cars then to just let it be.
