How do I remove the back seat of an 06 TL?

there is an easy DIY in the garage. very helpful. and easy to do.

 

Here's a reminder that I wished someone noted for me.

When you pull out the back seats, there are 2 metal rods kinda near the center of the backrest that holds the backseat in place. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU PULL THE BACKSEAT OUT THE CAR BECAUSE THESE 2 SMALL METAL RODS CAN, AND WILL RIP YOUR LEATHER SEAT AND EASILY STAB INTO IT.

Happened to me when installing my coilovers. Unbolted the rear seat and loosened it, and pulled it forward a little than had a friend on passenger side hold it still and i ran around the car and we both began to pull out the backseat together. When we put the backrest down the seats where ripped...

 

Also note that when removing the seat there is a bolt hidden under each headrest, and behind a leather flap/opening. You will need a longer socket or an extension to be able to remove it. Took me forever to find this GD bolt, and I had instructions...wouldn't wish that frustration on anyone else
