'06 6MT drive belt tensioner?
Today noticed a chirping from the passenger side that was RPM related. It seemed to be drive belt. I put a small amount of belt dressing on, that turned it into a full-on squeal.:why me: At first, I thought- battery! Car has been starting slower, it's the original, can't hardly see the green ball, etc... Got a new Costco battery (35), no change. Unplugged the alternator field wires, no change. I took the drive belt off, and the sound disappeared.
All accessories seem to spin freely, but the two smooth pulleys- the tensioner and idler (if that's what they are called)- seem to rotate less freely than I think they should.
I'm going to try a new belt tomorrow, but in case that doesn't work...
I can't find the OEM part number for these pulleys to save my life. I've searched here and at acuraautomotiveparts.org. I can usually find anything between the two, but nada for these pulleys. I'll go Gates/Dayco/Goodyear on the belt from a local house, but I'd prefer OEM on the pulleys.
Although, with only 47k miles on them, not sure why I want to stick with OEM, but yeah...
Help!
(a little disappointed with these types of shenanigans at 47k miles. This ain't a damn Chevy!)

The new belt is quiet, but I still don't like the way those pulleys roll. I've never checked them on this car, but on others, they roll more freely. And I still can't find the Acura part numbers...

LMAO, I accidentally came across that looking in the MDX section...
31180-RCA-A02- Pulley, Tensioner
31190-RCA-A02- Pulley, Idler
$25 for both. That's cheaper than NAPA for one.
