'05 TL Strong Vibration or Misfire just above Idle & Hard Starts
'05 TL 6MT, 75K. Car idles great, but in neutral or in gear the car vibrates or feels like it is missing at Tip-In (1100rpm up to ~1500 rpm). Car runs strong & smooth at higher engine speeds. This miss/vibration happens regardless of engine temp. Other issue here is the car hard starts, cranks over a couple extra times in order to start regardless of battery charge or engine temp (new battery or jump does not change).
I have replaced the spark plugs with OEM NGK's. I have checked all the coils. I have run Seafoam thru full tank of gas. I use premium fuel. I have cleaned the throttle body. I know this might be engine mounts, but having a hard time believing that because of the hard start... any other ideas, experiences?
One note on the throttle body cleanout: I removed the intake tube &, with a second person, turned key to the one position while watching the throttle plate. It did not cycle open--I have read on another thread that the throttle plate should cycle open when you turn the key to on position. It looked like it tried to move just a little, but not much at all, could it be a bad throttle?? Removal of carbon buildup w/Seafoam Deep Creep did not change this. I have no OBDII codes.
