'05 TL located in Spain, Need Help!
I'm living in Rota Spain. I'm in the military and brought my 2005 Acura TL 3.2 V6 Automatic transmission over here with me. I have 54k miles on the car. Tonight I noticed oil for the first time ever all over the plastic plate under the flywheel and transmission area. I removed it and I took off the flywheel cover plate and I can see oil up around that bearing. I can't tell if it is the main engine bearing or the oil pan but I think it is coming right from that area. Does anyone have any suggestions or other places I should be looking for the leak? I have the factory tech manual but I don't have the access to tools or a garage to do major work. The closest Acura dealership is 5k miles away! I am stationed here for another 2 years and I either need a better way to pinpoint the leak or something that will slow it down and I'll baby it until I can get it into a shop. Honda dealerships here are scared to work on it. I'm stuck.
Post it over in:

No other oil on the top, front or sides of the motor that might blow back? My suggestion is to clean the area up with brake cleaner and dry completely, then watch for the leak.
Not too many places the oil can leak from at the back, it's a start.
Engine oil not over filled?

Is the leak putting oil on the ground or is it just on the engine and splash shield? Do you see a noticeable drop in oil level on the dipstick?
Are your motor mounts in good shape? If one or more is bad, I'd get that fixed first.
If the leak is not dripping to the ground and the oil level is not dropping noticeably on the dip stick, I'd just keep an eye on it for now. Sometimes these leaks fix themselves.
