05 TL Driver's Door light problem
I was about to order LED replacement bulbs for the interior of my car. When I went out to my car and opened the drivers door I realized the light on the bottom did not come on. I don't know how long it hasn't been working, so I thought, darn, the bulb must be out, well I pulled the bulb out and switched it with the passenger doors bulb and it worked fine so its not a bad bulb. I don't know why it not working
I could have sworn the door light worked fine, all I can think of is maybe the tint shop jacked something up when I got my windows tinted in May? I got the moleskin installed and I know they had to remove the door panel to get that in there. I usually like to wait for a couple things to go wrong prior to going to dealer to have them fixed, I just took my car into the dealer last week cause the steering wheel lights went out. Should I go to the dealer again to have this checked out? I guess I am going to have to wait to order my LED interior light bulbs until this gets looks at.....

did you take the door panel off?? there is a sub harrness that is a foot long. some times when it is removed you can un clip it. also check for power and ground if you have a multi- meter. i would take it to the dealer if these are not your cup of tea.

No I haven't taken the door panel off, I could probably remove the door panel and check it out though, do you think I should just let the delaer take at look at it since I don't have a multi-meter
i would because if they break something, they pay for it. also the door panel is not hard to remove. theres a cover inside the inner door handle with two screws. under the window switch but above the map pouch is one screw. and there's one in the door bump stop at the end of the door. remove and pull the panel from the bottom. you dont need to remove all the way, just enough for you to get on your back and look up.
