im pretty sure all the 04+ TL's come with bi-xenon projectors. the bulb size is d2s and the fog is 9006.

I might be wrong about this but when I put my high beams on isn't it just some kind of shield that retracts to provide a larger beam of light? That would mean it's not a BI xenon but just a single one.

You are over analyzing the concept. You don't need two separate "lights" to get a hi and low beam on a HID system. Low beam has a cutoff, hi beam doesn't. Thus you have TWO separate beams (Bi).

^^^^
05 is absolutely "Bi" . It's just that simple. Both hi and low beams are serviced by one single HID lamp per side. The shutter (a.k. a. shield) controls the beam's pattern. Simple and effective without any extra "stroking" of the HID lamps.
