Exclamation '05 Acura TL 148k

Hey guys, i have owned my TL 3rd generation for about two years now. I've had some bad luck lately with a lot of things and it now includes my vehicle. About 30 days ago i had the battery die on me which ended up being the Alternator completely dying. I changed the part and once i did i started feeling the dashboard shake a little once i turned on the A/C. A couple of weeks later my Crankshaft Pulley decided to break with the Houston weather that we have been getting lately. Luckily i had a professional who is a friend of my brother in law who changed it all out for only $230. I am now a little worried about the shaking in the car. It has a new belt, Alternator and crankshaft pulley but it would shake (very noticeable) whenever i would turn on the A/C. Once i start moving i won't feel it anymore but once i stop at a light i would feel the vibration. Has any of you guys had this problem lately and know of a solution? Any help or troubleshooting would be appreciated.

More than likely the rear engine mount or another one is on it's way out. The rear mount isolates most of the vibrations from the engine. Does putting the car in N help? If yes, it could be a bad trans mount as well.

Thanks for the advice. I did turn on the car and put it on Neutral and noticed a small change in the vibration. I doubt my transmission mount is gone but i do think that the rear mount is the part causing the problem. I might just be a little skeptical due to the bad stuff that has happened because the vibration seems to go away or it is very noticeable. I just like to take care of my car.

It's very understandable that you like to take care of your car! One thing you can do to check the condition of the mounts is to have someone sit in the car and move repeatedly between drive and reverse.

Open up the engine bay and look at the movement of the motor. Does it rock forwards and backwards more than 1/4 inch? If yes, mounts are most def. the cause and need to be replaced.
