05* Hard start + clock reset

I bought an 05 TL 16 mos ago. One week ago, I started experiencing *slow* hard starts. The first 5 secs of *slow* cranking sounds like I have a weak battery. Then the engine starts.

I read that this could be related to the ULEV system. I also read in this forum that turning the ignition 2 clicks and waiting for the fuel gauge to fully register helps to lessen the problem. This has cut the *slow* cranking time to about 2-3 secs.

I have the same problem cold starting the car in the morning.

I also noticed yesterday that the clock is accurate when I turn the ignition 2 clicks, but when the car starts the clock always changes to 1:00, until the Navigation warning pops up. As soon as the warning flashes on, the clock resets to the correct time.

Has anyone else experienced these problems?

Have you gotten your battery tested? I had the same problem starting my car and thought it was the battery. After getting a jump, I had replaced the battery, but I still had a problem starting the car. It turned out to be a bad fuse box and I got it replaced under warranty. I also have an '05.
