He needs to find where the trans is leaking, top, bottom, sides. Clean it up with some brake clean and keep an eye out for fluid. If at top, you can always sprinkle some talcum powder around and then see in what area the leak is starting. If at bottom, make certain the drain plug washer is new. Could even be around an axle seal.

You're the guy that has the vibration problems that you can't seem to fix, right?

I would check around the axle seals. With a leak and a vibration this is probably your problem.

I guess so lol, he said that it's the bottom gasket that needs to be changed it is old and rotten. He said it will cost around 8 bills to change it! wouldn it be easier to change the tranny? Little bit more money for a better result?! IHATECARS, forget the shaking bullslaha lol, this tranny leak is more important. I rather sell the car allready it has 115,000K miles. I am tired of putting in so much money lol. I put way more than enough for my 2000 and 2001 Maxima's that I had before.

You're not getting it. The shaking and leaking might be related. If you have an axle that's worn on the bushing surface where it enters the trans or if the trans bushing is worn it will cause a vibration and a leak.

My 04 leaked pretty badly around where a dealer installed the oil jet fix. If you have an oil jet kit, you might check there... the fluid leaks down all over the whole unit and looks like it could be coming from anywhere.

Good luck.

What did you do to fix your oil jet leak?

I put a new busing on it. I used a swaybar bushing that I had in my "junk" drawer that I had to cut a little bit.
