04' TL trunk problem

My trunk only can be opened by pushing the button on my keys. The switch in the glove box is set so that the trunk should open when I press the botton below the dash. The trunk doesn't seem to open when this button is pressed. Anyone know what I should do?

start by removing the panel and making sure the button is all the way plugged in

x2 to the above statement. Also, this is in the wrong section of the forums. You're in the photograph gallery.

check in the glove box, there is a valet switch for the trunk.
