'04 TL Tranny Rebuild - Now humming - Help!
I recently had my tranny rebuilt on my 04 TL. Shifts are great no slips. Shortly after the rebuild the car started to make a humming sound. The sound has gotten louder.
One issue the mechanic had was he split the power steering line. Fluid leaked for a day but he did repair it.
Possible front axle problem?
Wheel bearing problem ?
I am bringing it back this afternoon any input would be appreciated.

More info? Does it hum always? Hums louder when you drive faster? When you are turning? When you turn the steering wheel? Does it vary by rpm. Does it vary with speed?

First off mods sorry for poswting in the wrong area.
Yes the humming was consatnt and got lowder as I kept driving.
Anyway took it into the shop that did the tranny repair. Turns out it was the drivers rear wheel bearing. The guy wanted $380.00 to replace.
A member here podsted about a shop called the The Pit Shop. The shop specializes in Acura nd Hinda repair and service. Price = $150.
While the shop was an hour out of my way - I took the drive as I also needed A1-4 service and the sot was about half of what my dealer was charging.
Drew the owner arranged for a rent a car for me and we had an hour long conversation about acuras. Great guy!
I will post a follow up in the near future.
Thanks to all on this forum!
