04 TL - Memory Seat Issue
04 TL - Memory Seat Issue
Hey guys,
I'm having an issue with the memory seats on my 04 TL auto/non-nav/US model. Essentially, the problem is the driver side mirror will not save to memory.
I unlock the doors via FOB 1, the driver side mirror shifts down towards the ground (not what I have it saved to). With the car on (key 1), and in park, I push the slider to the left, and adjust the mirror to the proper position. I return the slider to the middle position, and hit Memo and hear 1 beep. I then click 1 (within 5 secs, not re-adjusting), and hear two beeps (which should save the setting).
If I leave the car, lock it and return to open it with the fob, the driver side mirror shifts down towards the ground again. If I'm sitting in the car after re-setting the memory and press 1, it shifts down towards the ground again.
What's the issue? It's only the driver side mirror doing this. All other mirror functions (moving, defroster, etc.) work fine.
Note: I'm not talking about the mirrors automatically shifting down when I put it in reverse.

Probably the driver's side mirror actuator going bad. Memory seating and mirrors all on the same circuit. If one component goes bad the whole system goes nuts.
