friend just bought 04 tl with 74k mile. notic DRL is not working. bought new DRL 9005 bulbs still not working. also bought 9005 DRL wiring harness + resistor and still not working. any idea guy. need help fast asap.

did the 04's come with DRL's. I think it was only the Canada version, not the US version. I could be wrong though.

 

NO DRLs in 04 TL .. They are the fog lights. Turn on the headlights and turn the switch on. It will turn on.

 

fog light dosnt work. when Turn on the headlights and turn the switch on the fog light will not turn on even with new bulbs? is there a fuse for that?

 

Should work.. there is a fuse in the Engine bay for it..

 

actually I reread your first post.. what is this DRL wiring harness and resistor that you are talking about? did you try removing that stuff to see if it works without it?

Also, how did you wire this DRL wiring harness?

 

Does it have that DRL module wired to the wiper motor wire? Those modules have been known to go bad maybe it's the module.

 

The Canadian delivered '04 TL's have Daytime Running Lights, the US delivered ones don't.

Just get a better fuse holder than the one that comes with it.
