Hey all!

I tried searching for this earlier but I didn’t find an exact match.

When attempting to turn the crank to start my car or use the key fob to unlock it, sometimes my car randomly dies and then either comes back on or doesn’t come back on until I unplug and replug the battery. All the lights turn off except for the anti-theft light which will die completely if I try it again. It happens very randomly and has been happening more often.

I’m thinking it might be something causing the battery to short out. Would anyone have an idea of where to start troubleshooting?

Battery cables most likely have issues. Either a corroded connection or maybe even the internals of the cables are your most likely culprits.
