~1500 rpm vibration
First of all, I've searched the forums and have found things on this but everything is so scattered... I was just hoping to get all the info I could here without having to jump from thread to thread to thread and back to the previous thread etc...
Anyways, I have an '04 TL and when I press the gas right around 1500 rpm, whether the speed I'm going is 10 mph or 70 mph, i can feel a distinct vibration in the pedal and a little in the steering wheel (no, I don't hear any clicks). I've heard the terms 'driveline vibration' and 'lugging' and that this probably has to do with a transmission problem, but not being a car expert I still am not sure.
Is this a known issue? And since my car is still under warranty, from what I've heard, I can take it to the dealer and get a new transmission?
Any help would be great

It depends on what is wrong with the car.
If you are not sure its a problem- go test drive another TL the same year as yours
Or write down details of what exact conditions and what happens- for the tech to read. Leave paper in car for them.
The service writer cannot fit more than 5 words on the screen when they enter your complaint.
Ask for the Head Tech to go for a ride with you driving, then him/her driving
They have to wrire an estimate invoice allowing them to work on the car, if warranty prob found they write a warranty work order.

I have this exact same problem, except it happens at 900rpm - 1000rpm.
When I'm at a stop and proceed to accelerate, after 1st gear goes past 900rpm .. the petal vibrates and you can actually hear the vibration. Once it pasts 1000rpm it goes away.
Sometimes it happens when I'm cruising at 50rpm, it really depends how hard I'm pressing down the gas petal.

There is a TSB about this:

If you are with in warranty take your car in. They will apply the dampener to the bottom of the transmission. They did place a dampener on mine, however it is still making noises.
The noise is only produced while in 5th gear with RPMs between 1500-2000. It is a high pitch wine that is only produced when you apply light pressure to the throttle. When you back off it disappears. Sounds very similar to a throughout bearing in manual transmission.

Have the same problem, but it happens between 25 and 30 mph at very light acceleration when RPMs are between 1500 and 2000 and the AT shifts from 3rd to 4th. The car has 40K miles and luckily the powertrain is still under warranty, but I am a little nervous as I plan on keeping the car.
Any suggestions/experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Have any of you tried the engine damper kit with good results for this specific issue? My 6sp '04 has most noticably a vibration right around 1200rpm. So if im idling @ 1000 and rev the car, I can feel the vibration briefly as the needed passes 1200 and again once it drops back down past 1200. Does this sound like what you all have been experiencing? I coudl live with this but would being able to ease this with make a great car even better.
Thanks
Thanks
