Hey Everyone,

Just recently purchased a 3rd Gen Acura TL. I also have a 4th Gen as well. That build thread is here:https://acurazine.com/forums/photogr...thread-932965/

The wife is now driving the 4th Gen, and got the 3rd Gen for myself.

The car itself is an 04 6MT. The previous owner had converted the whole thing to a Type-S. Front bumper, Rear bumper, Doors, Exhaust, Trunk, Rims, Headlights, Taillights, Seats, Door Panels, and Center Console.

When I purchased the car I ended up purchasing the 08 TL Type-S cluster, so pretty much I only now need the DVD, Rear-view camera and GPS antenna on top and its fully converted.

It's driven 220KM, drives awesome. Lowered on Tien Super Street coilovers

Here is when I bought it - and got the windshield changed due to a crack down the whole thing

First mod I did was get 3500 Nokya Hyper Yellow bulbs, and then vinyl the roof black to match the 4th Gen I have. Also applied yellow vinyl on the fog light covers to give it that darker yellow, and then promptly went to Downtown Toronto for a Photoshoot:

TL and my buddies S2K which I wrapped and did the rims in Gold:

Couple more from the shoot:

Then I had one of my good friends do a full stage 5 detail on the car. This included Paint Correction, 2-Stage Polish, Sealant, Interior carpet shampoo, and seat conditioning. The difference in the car was absolutely insane. They're located in Missisauga for anyone that's interested.

Here are the pictures that ensued:

I'll update in a couple days as I did some more changes to it. Interior pics will be uploaded as well!

car looks great!! keep up the good work (and nice photos)!
my only suggestion is to either put spacers (i hate the sunken wheel look) or get some aftermarket wheels.

excited to see more

Wow, beautiful ride. And by the way, you made the right choice about what to give your wife to drive......

Hey that's awesome man. Didn't know the previous owner was on Acurazine. I'm assuming you did the conversion on it, the gentleman I purchased it from said he bought it as-is. Car's awesome. You did a good job! My turn to add on the finishing touches haha.

Hey, btw congrats on your type-s, I was just reading the thread. You're in Ontario as well. Toronto area? Ideally I want to space it out, but if I add spacers with the current ride height it will rub unless I go very negative camber which I don't like at all. For now I'm going to stick with this and hopefully look into new rims next year once winter is over and done with.

i think you got me mixed up with someone else, i've had my type s since 2008 haha, and i live in san diego not ontario.

makes sense about not going with spacers being that low.

you still need full interior and the 3.5 engine for full conversion.

Yeah, the interior is almost there. I have got the speedometer, and the DVD Screen, just waiting to find the DVD unit and then will do the conversion. The seats, center console, rear seats, door panels are already done, only thing left is the roof liner, which I am still searching for.

I can't justify spending $2500-$3000 on a TL-Type-S engine swap. That's already half of what I've paid for the car only for a .3 L displacement increase. The engine currently isn't giving me any issues. If it does in the future, that's when I'll definitely look into doing that. But as of now, it's going to stay with the stock 3.2 unfortunately lol

If you have money for a J35 engine swap then you may as well try to stroke the car to a 3.6L. It'll be roughly the same price.
