So after much deliberation I decided to atleast get the single one pot brembo caliper cover to match the fronts. I figure I have brembos upfront, whats the big deal to put a brembo caliper cover on the rear to match the fronts and not make it look akward. I personally love it, especially in the colour I painted them. All I need to do is post pics of the summer rims when I install them next week. They are te37 reps which are painted dark gunmetal and the outer tiny lip is the same colour as the calipers which really pops and shines when the light hits it

That looks great! No hating from me at least.

For my sad base 5AT self, I will probably go the RDX covers route in a couple of months.

Thanks! If i did have a base I would do what your doing also. But an rdx caliper cover on the rear would just be weird for me with front brembos. So the fronts would say brembo and rears acura. I will post better pics with my cousins good camera once the summer rims go on. It should be nearly complete. All I need is coilovers to a go an inch lower!!!!

I'm a fan of this mod ONLY if you have the front Brembo brakes to begin with. Nobody (well the majority of people) is going to spend a ton of money getting real Brembo's for the rear or finding another caliper from another car to fit. It's just too much effort and money for something that does 5% or less of your stopping. Nice job OP.

Where did you get them from? And are you only using rtv to secure them?

Nice job OP, I like them. I have RDX covers sitting in a box still, maybe I will end up going this route and just selling the RDX ones.

I got them off ebay. Just typed in brembo brake covers. All you need to do is search through what comes up until you find the single pot looking ones. I think they were like 10 bucks shipped. I also used an epoxy from a local automotive store. I used it because it set in 60 seconds and taking it off can be done very easily. However, for everyday driving they are not budging at all.

I've often considered removing even my RDX covers...I kinda miss how small and understated the regular caliper was. Not like little brother trying to steal the show from the real deal up front.

I love the title of these types of threads. I painted mine black. They match the color of the BBK on the front and most importantly for me they don't attract attention. I would also hate to restrict the open airway that the outboard rear pad has to cool air. The rears do get hot, just as hot or hotter than the front. While the car does look good with the covers, I just couldn't do it.

well, even when painted silver, they were pretty understated.

I don't see how the RDX covers really block much, if any air getting to the calipers. At least on the rear.

You should buy a pair of BBS LMs for the front wheels and ESMs for the rear and throw BBS LM center caps on all four.

Funny, in theory, I agree with you Jon. But I did the RDX because it's oem(ish) and eventually hated the huge blank expanse of metal. I swapped to these too and think it looks good.

looks good, I've been thinking of getting some covers too once spring comes around and I'm not to lazy to paint my calipers.

Quick Reply: Yes another rear brembo caliper cover installed.. Hater's don't enter
