ok..so last nov 2008 i was so 'excite' and desperate to get an 08 TL that
it reached a point where there was less than a handful left and ALL with no
navi. So I bit the bullet and grabbed an ASM with taupe interior non navi
with a lease rate of 0.65%.

BUT...and as most of you know...the loss of navi (my 08 RDX and TSX had it) was killing me!!!! I quickly found a way to do the switcherooo!!!!

I arranged to transfer my lease off to someone else and got into a lease assumption myself of an 08 wdp TL /ebony with NAVI!!!! love it!!

AND wow, the dealership loaned me a 09 MDX elite for the evening...what an incredible SUV!!!! If i could, I would but i cant at the moment lol!!! i mean, shiz man..heated seats for the rear passengers too?!

Congrats! Navi does make a big difference.

 

My navi, everytime I go some where, I only use it once.

Once I use it that time, I don't need it anymore cuz I'll automatically remember the roads. lol

But <3 Navi when I'm in DT. Hate Downtown roads.

We have one for States and one for Canada.

so how I did the lease transfer. well it helps to get both a very very good rate (in my case, 0.65% can't be beat) as well as a low payment per month (again, in my case it was $499 a month taxes in which is great in CDN$)...soooooo... it took 2 months to finally go though but i was patient. I put an ad into CRAIGSLIST ..got alot of inquiries...BUT it's very important that the person(s) assuming your lease has excellent credit or else Honda Canada Finance won't approve them (they MUST fill out a credit app to qualify for lease takeover). I've leased so many cars from them that my credit was top notch so it was no problem for me to qualify for the wdp lease takeover.

comment on the taupe interior... was nice when i changed out the carpets to black ..real nice two tone interior..BUT like most acura light colored seats, the side bolster of my driver side quickly began to discolor... like my jeans or something was staining it...but now i'm back to ebony so not worried any longer.
