Winterization now complete- not making the same mistake this year.
Hello all, here are a few pics of the beast before dressing it up for the winter.
I think the car looks goofy with the stockers on, the total look of the car has changed..
The factory rims are mounted with the stock michelin tires, still deciding on which all seasons to get. im leaning toward the pirelli pneros. the stock rims are significantly heavier then the Legends. but i ride of the car is much smoother and slightly quieter. I am running general exclaims on the legends now. At least now i don't have to worry about hitting potholes as much.. i wanted to get a early start on getting this project finished because last year i kept my 19's on and the ride totally sucked especially when it snowed. i was not making the same mistake this year and want to give myself at least somewhat of a fighting chance. the car is lowered at least 1.5 inches all around and i will not be raising the car. thank you for viewing, comments are welcomed and appreciated.

i know, i thought about raising it up a little but i am so anal i would have been adjusting all weekend. Plus, my fiance was bitching about how she wanted to go shopping for christmas decorations and this process was already taking my 3 hrs. I am so happy with the height of the car, i did't want to mess it up. I really didn't have any clearance problems with snow, mostly the traction sucks. If i have any problems, when i go to get my new tires put on, i will raise it up a little.

yeah, this chore was a little time consuming. When i took the stocks out of storage, they still had heavy brake dust on them. So, i had to clean them first. then, once i took the legends off i had to clean them very well. i also had to place markers on the tires, so when i put them back on in the spring i will know where they were and rotate them.
i thought about possibly changing the height, bu once i took the rims off and had a good look at the coilovers i noticed that there was a significant amout of debris on the threads. i didn't want to risk getting that crap all stuck in the threads and gumming up the works.

Doesn't that suck to have to do that...?
I bought a set of TL-S stocker rims, sold the OE silvers... I plan to run those in the winter. The gunmetal color and waffle design looks a "little" better than the OE 5 stars. That'll keep me from going nuts throught he winter.
Mine winter rollers go on this weekend as well.

I changed mine over last Wednesday, and thankfully so. It has snowed a couple of times since then. I will take pics when I clean her so I can see how terrible the stockers look with the drop and the RJ kit.

Look at it this way, its like looking mediocre all winter just to have something to look forward to in the spring when the wheels go back on. Lucky me, I get to roll on 18" Legend GT's all winter until the Devotion Type III's show up in time for the Spring!!, YESSSS!!!
