What's it like today?
#403
Hey man. I was looking at the first page and saw your V1 concealed install. Noob question... where does the actual unit sit? What is in the picture is a stand alone display or the entire unit?
#404
LOL, the temps were in the 40s and the sun was out. By the end of the day, it looks like it didn't even snow here.
The actual V1 sits behind the Rear View Mirror. The Concealed Display is connected to the V1 so you can hide it, but still see the Bogey Count and Arrows.

Didn't get a chance to make it out to the National Meet this year, but hopefully next year.
Spent last night and this morning working on the TL.
The clear bra on my TL is over 10 years old, it was put on by the original owner when they purchased it. The clear bra had water stains and haze on it. I was worried to use any kind of products on it to clean from what I read online, but there were some who had success, so I said screw it and tried it.
I had Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish, so why not. I tried the Ultimate Polish first, but it wasn't doing much. I then decided to try the Ultimate Compound, it got out all of the water stains and haze. I then used the Ultimate Polish to finish it up, then waxed it to protect it. Definitely looks much better.
My headlights had a little haze/oxidation to them, but you couldn't tell unless it was in direct sunlight. I tried the Meguiar's PlastX, but it didn't do anything, so I used the Ultimate Compound, which got it all out. I then covered the headlights with the XPEL Headlight Protection Film Kit.

yeah, there were couple cars from Wichita, KS at the meet that were hit by hail...definitely sucks....
#429
yea, it sucks, i actually spotted more dents today under daylight compared to when i looked at it under the lights in the garage. there are a couple of light ones on the trunk and right rear quarter panel, there's also one on the black trim that goes around the rear door windows.
there's been quite a bit of hail storms lately, i managed to miss the previous 4 storms but couldn't avoid this one. the damage could have been even worse cause after i went through it, the same area saw golf ball size hail.
thanks

Haven't had a update in awhile, but had a busy day yesterday.....
Had to change out the Driver Door Actuator since the driver door would not lock/unlock when pressing the remote or via Keyless. Straight forward swap, but spent more time on the rods then anything else.
Then, time for the big install..... ATLP V2-R J-Pipe
I definitely love it, the first thing I noticed was the change in exhaust tone. It is quieter and deeper with the Stage 3 Exhaust mod compared to with the RV6 V3 J-Pipe.
My butt dyno tells me there is a difference, but I know the differences between the two are probably marginal. My reason is have the full ATLP setup, the V2-R is first, then the ATLP Exhaust in time for the National Meet next year.

And a video
#438
This I forgot to do
Spent over an hour on the door actuator before installing the J-Pipe. My kids then decided to come outside to play during the J-Pipe install.
I'll take a couple underneath pics tomorrow
The video will have to come from my HTC One tomorrow, the wifey lost the SD Card for the Camera.
