The effect of the popping red colour is mainly because he edited the pictures to be black and white except his car.

Many people call this the "sin city" photo effect.

I always wondered what a "cherry" red TL would look like. Not a huge fan of red but it looks amazing on a TL.

I'm glad you think Im a man...however Im a girl... Nichole actually.... And its Corvette Red...it pops whether the background is grey or not...and ironically I wasn't into have QuickChecks Green Gas pumps in my background..

As far as future mods, I just ordered the new Tein S Tech Advances and I'm waiting for their arrival, the fender to wheel gap is killing me now that its not CBP anymore.. I love the Type S wheels...but theres a little girl inside of me thats just dying to get matte gunmetal 18-19inch works wheels...we'll see. I just want to keep it clean for now....

Thanks! I've had my S since 08...it was CBP before I painted it...and the paint was just finished this week, so I'm now the proud owner of a beautiful Red one...made me fall in love with the car all over again...it's exactly what I needed to stop me from selling it and buying an STI.. Where are your meets?

@ziggyh22 - There are times I wish I lived in Cali...cause let me tell you my experience in New York is we have pot holes large enough to consume small children...let alone my freshly painted non rolled fenders with 19 inch work wheels....hahah I often think "if i lived somewhere else what would my car look like?" and the answer is huge wheels and SLAMMED... but i want to think sensible with my wheel choice before I end up crying like a 2 year old when i injure them..lol

LOL! Yeah from what I hear NY driving and roads are a nightmare I understand about the crying like a 2year old feeling and curling up in fetal position everytime I hit a dip or bump hard! No Aspec for me....I can't deal with the "everyone else" factor. You hear way too much about ron jon this/apec/ebay specials and I'm just tired of seeing the same ishhh... I'm going to attempt a custom carbon fiber lip kit...I have a guy I'm confident can get the job done, so i'll be sure to keep you posted.

No problem...hey Red's not for everyone! It happens to be my absolute most favorite color...and to answer your question about the taillights..NEVVVERR haha I had an 06 Navi in NHB prior to picking up this in 08...I would trade you for the headlight assembly though..though I now have the bypass, i missed the inner fog lights and hid combo...looked very type-r-front-end-ish! haha

The meets are usually held in Fishkill at the new Home Depot parking lot. We used to do them further down but the cops put a stop to that . We usually have 15-20 Acura's show up.

never said anything bad about red lol, i just said it was too bright in those pics, with that pic you just posted i like it alot better. I had a milano red honda prelude which was a similar shade but not as bright but i still loved it. my comment about the tails earlier was i wondered what it would look like with the base reds but thought about it some more and i think the base reds would actually take away from the color (two different shades of red clashing).

edit: just noticed they got your fog covers too. Plasti dip your hood trim and emblem see how that goes.

Wow !!! That red is beautiful ... also love the black roof.

I just rebuild a 07 Type S. and I did this with the front bumper. I think it would look nice if you do it to yours, it would bring out the chrome pieces a bit more.

Seriously, i feel the same way. While theres some sick cars on this forum, they kinda all start blending together with all of them having the same mods. Im used to the civic world where theres more options for originality then there are members of the forum.

Normally, I hate red cars. Prolly a product of getting stuck with so many civics with faded/oxidized red paintjobs, BUT the color you chose really does pop (great first few pix too btw) and looks really good on the car. You painted over my favorite color, but it turned out really nice. Props!

I also gotta say, the restraint of the azine members and lack of leghumping female members to the point of them not ever coming back is impressive. props to all you horney little bastards for not running off the few girl members Ive seen on here

great color, really fresh! but, I would black out the fog shrouds and do matte black on the front grill...and of course the matte gun metal works go along with that nicely.

edit: on second thought, I think matte bronze wheels would look even better!

LOVE-the red. It reminds me of Ferrari red.

I think I would leave the foglight housing black, instead of red (as in the pictures).
