Update on the TL!

So the TL modifications have been coming along swiftly. Here are a few pictures to keep everyone up to date on the progress. I added a Varis universal diffuser that came from Bulletproof Automotive. Bought a Cusco oil catch can to catch the blow by and prevent buildup in the intake. Also the OEM hood is back on the car, along with a grille modification that is still in progress...the Red H!!

looking good the car looked better with the CF hood on, matched the black and white theme well. also whats up with the two different hood struts, one tein and one stock.... Have you considered a port and polish yet? also the H should be a lil' higher.

Saw the hood change last night on my way home...I don't know about it...seems off since the roof and trunk are black. Not really feelin' the H, either. Overall, still love the car.

Thanks for the feedback.

I took the ebay cf hood off because the clear coat was diminishing and there were millions of fine scratches on it. Mostly my fault for not upkeeping the hood like i should have. It can be fixed and i'll end up workin on it sometime in the future. Also i became weary of the bracket that holds the hood in the latch,...it looked like it could break anytime. From a distance the hood looked good but up close it just wasn't happening.

What i could end up doing is painting the center of the oem hood black, or even get a versus double sided hood. I've even thought about making some kind of vent like the Honda R&D track TL.

And the Red H will always get on peoples nerves but thats ok! I love it and enjoy confusing people as some still to this day tell themselves it's a TSX they're looking at...i overheard someone saying "look at that tsx" while i was at nopi.

The diffuser might be one of my favorite modifications. There's something about them i just love. haha. I used four mounting points.

- I'm in the red H "hater" crowd... and it's too low and off center, but I mainly don't like it becasue of the reasons aleady stated... "Look at the TSX". The big void look meaner, and nonTSXish

- Bring the black hood back. Just paint the stocker. A double sided VIS is like 10 lbs lighter... Whooptedo.

- What the canister with the -an fittings to the right of the supercharger?

edit - nvm, Cusco oil blowby catch can. Neat.

Thanks guys.

There's a chance i might put her on the track at VIR for a time lap battle just to see how fast it can get around the track.

Once the motor blows, it will be a new motor + 6spd + hondata.

thanks Scott. I reckon you're not ever going to let the deck lip spoiler remain white as long as i have this car, so maybe i'll go ahead and paint it or something so you can sleep tight at night! haha.

I have a feeling the red H will grow on everyone. hehe.

the greatest moment of surprise was the day after i put the red H on the car...this guy in a hond accord was sitting in front of me at the light and must have seen the H. Well, down the road a bit he comes up to my car and says..."hey man nice ride!...now is that an Acura or a civic?!"

...i'll never forget it!!

If there was a Japanese TL that said Honda TL, and you had it imported here, the H would look ok.. but seriously.. ditch it, it's tacky.

Yeah, not really feelin the H...maybe if it had black backing instead of red...but even then, it sticks out and ruins the flow of your car (IMO)

Have you raced any of those cars in your group? How does a boosted auto TL hold up to them? Esp that evo?

CF hood was clean tho. and i love the rear diffusers.. Esp on the NSX"s I have thought about those on the TL from time to time and now it's DONE.

CLean job bro, keep on modding. You never dissapoint me with your mods!

No more H, because it's an Acura.

Don't go bigger.. don't move it.. remove it..

If the car didn't come with a factory Honda emblem don't throw it on there.

Other than that it looks pretty nice

Have you consider changing the tail lamp to the TL-S? It would make a final touch to it. Regardless your car still look the best!

Honda Motor Company.

The J32 is a product of the Honda Motor Company.

Hence the Honda emblem.

She's about to hit 100,000 miles in the next month or so. A lot of them are hard miles. I'll bet it's one of honda's stronger automatic transmissions. I'm not going to be surprised when something happens to it.

..and thanks for the comments!...the diffuser was inevitable.

thanks bro! I must have missed your RL because i dont recall ever seeing one while i was down there. Turns out i must have missed a lot of cars according to the coverage pictures that i've seen. You should have rolled it next to the TL and took some pictures!!

I've thought about the type-s tails conversion for a while. It'll probably be one of those spontaneous mods where all of a sudden ill be like whatever and just do it.

...and thanks man...i'm just trying to get some unique mods on the car like you've managed to do with yours!

Is that a Custom front bumper on your TL?
Kinda looks like INGS+1 kits.
Like the one I have on my STI. Haha.
