a friend of mine is in UK and takes random shots...has a FB page and copyrights and stuff....recently someone bought his pic of some castle/palace for quite a lot of change....

It helps a lot. This is just little editing, it can do insane amounts more. It requires a lot of memorization though. We went over countless things in class but you just can't remember it all.

Mine almost did last night I had Chrome, PS CS5 and Bridge open. Doing like 5 images at a time.
I need to buy that 4GB of RAM on Amazon and have someone install it so I can be up to 8GB
I'm gonna need it once I get this new camera body, images are going to be HUGE, almost double that resolution.

If you can afford it I'd definitely get the Retina display. It would help a lot when you're zommed in on high res pics that need some fine editing.
My laptop is only a year old so it's stupid to sell it and get another. Maybe in a few years but for $50, adding 4GB of memory will help a lot.
